This piece resulted from the process of stacking smaller vessels inside larger ones for firing, causing them to adhere and become inseparable.
It serves as excellent material for understanding:
- The firing techniques (태질)
- The cross-section of the ware
- The use of pedestals for shaping the clay (태토 빚음 받침)
- The practice of stacking pieces to maximize kiln space during firing.

큰 기물 안에 작은 기물을 포개어 소성하는 과정에서
들러 붙어 떼어 낼 수 없게 된 것으로,
태질과 단면, 태토 빚음 받침을 사용한 점과
소성시 가마 안의 공간을 최대한 활용하기 위하여
포개 구었다는 점을 분명하게 알 수 있게 해주는
좋은 자료입니다.
이런 상태를 본 도공은 얼마나 안타까워 했을까요? ...
(도마리 가마 파편으로 추정합니다만...)
크기는 높이 약 10, 지름 16 cm이고
