This is a jar featuring four handles shaped like beast masks (獸面), used for tying.

While vessels of this type are primarily known to have been produced during the Ming Dynasty (明代) for holding and pouring liquids like water or wine, this particular artifact, based on its form, decorative motifs, cobalt blue color, and glaze variations, is estimated to have been created around the mid-Qing Dynasty (18th century).

It offers a profound sense of the deep appeal of cobalt blue, exhibiting a subtle elegance. The artifact is in excellent condition with well-preserved details, making it a noteworthy collectible.

Dimensions are approximately: Height 15.5 cm, Mouth Diameter 6.5 cm, Body Diameter 14.3 cm.

Condition: Fully intact except for a small chip on the base (refer to photos 5/7).

항아리입니다.
명대(明代) 민요에서 주로 생산된 것으로 알려진 이러한 기물은
주로 물이나 술을 담아 따르는 기능을 하였는데,
이 기물은 형태와 시문된 도안, 청화의 발색, 유면의 변화 등을 종합해 볼 때
청 중기(18세기)를 전후한 시기에 제작된 것으로 보겠습니다.
화려하지는 않으나 청화의 깊은 맛을 느낄 수 있는 골동으로
상태도 아주 양호하고 디테일도 살아 있어 소장할 만한 기물로
여겨집니다.
크기는 높이 약 15.5, 입지름 6.5, 몸통지름 14.3 cm이고
상태는 굽 부분의 작은 튐 외 완전합니다.(사진 5/7 참조)
