[BUNJANG] Joseon Dynasty White Porcelain Teacup / 송백자잔

Crafted to resemble carved ivory, this teacup's gentle color and texture offer a sense of comfort. It evokes a familiar feeling, reminiscent of Goryeo celadon if not closely examined.

Made with well-refined white clay, the body was casually shaped, with a subtle inward pull near the rim. The exterior exhibits a slight outward flare, while the interior gently curves outward, creating a refined finish. Despite its small and delicate form, the meticulous consideration for grip and drinking comfort is truly masterful.

The foot and surrounding area showcase expert carving, demonstrating a keen awareness of the center of gravity. The glaze on the body is thinly applied, allowing the beauty of crackling to serve as decoration, hinting at the artisan's intent.

Dimensions: Approximately 5.5 cm in height, 7 cm in diameter.

Condition: While there is a minuscule chip on the rim, it is negligible considering its age of over 800 years and should not be considered a flaw (refer to photos). Due to the nature of antique items, returns or exchanges are not possible. Please consider this before purchasing.

수비가 잘 된 백토로,
동부 위로 무심한 듯 빚어 올리다가 구연 부 아래에서,
바깥 쪽에서는 안쪽으로 살짝 힘을 주고,
안쪽에서는 바깥 쪽으로 젖혀 살짝 외반되게
마무리 하였는데, 작고 얇은 기물임에도 어찌 이리,
잡는 감각과 마실 때의 감각을 고려하여
완벽하게 구현해 냈는지
그 솜씨가 존경스러울 따름입니다.
무게 중심을 고려한 굽깎이를 볼 수 있는
굽과 그 주변은 노태 상태이고
동부의 유약은 매우 얇게 잘 시유되어 빙렬의 아름다움으로
장식을 대신한 의도를 엿볼 수 있습니다.
크기는 높이 약 5.5, 입지름 7cm이고
상태는 유수리 없이 구연부의 아주 미세한 튐이 있으나
800년 이상 된 골동임을 감안하면
