This collection offers a comprehensive experience of the intense energy and lyrical beauty of Russian violin concertos within a single set.

Julia Fischer meticulously expresses the distinct characteristics of each work through her precise intonation, clear articulation, seamless melodies, and rich tonal variations. She powerfully conveys the folk rhythms and brilliant technique in Khachaturian, vividly contrasts the mystical lyricism and sharp scherzo in Prokofiev, and naturally blends long, romantic melodies with elegant technique in Glazunov.

The recording is conducted by Yakov Kreizberg, who collaborated with Julia Fischer on numerous acclaimed albums, with the Russian National Orchestra providing a dense and richly colored accompaniment.

This recording was produced in May 2004 at DZZ Studio 5 in Moscow, and Julia Fischer played the 1716 'Booth' Stradivarius violin.

The product shown in the photo is the 180g heavyweight 2LP gatefold edition, first released on LP by PENTATONE in 2018. This is the original vinyl pressing, distinct from the existing SACD version, and is now a discontinued title with no new domestic distribution.
