This is the standard edition of Kenshi Yonezu's major 3rd studio album, and his 4th album overall, titled 'BOOTLEG'. The album is brand new and has not been opened.

'BOOTLEG' translates to 'Pirate Edition' and marks Yonezu's first original album released after moving from Universal Sigma to Sony Music Records.

This release features a significant number of new songs compared to previous albums, including singles like 'LOSER', 'Number Nine', 'Orion', and 'Peace Sign'. It also includes self-covers of two songs: 'Sand Planet' (released under the Hachi alias) and 'Uchiage Hanabi' (released as DAOKO × Kenshi Yonezu).

Upon its release on November 1st, 2017, 'BOOTLEG' achieved significant chart success. It sold approximately 69,000 copies on its first day, ranking first on the Oricon Album Daily Ranking. It remained in the weekly TOP10 for five consecutive weeks. Furthermore, it debuted at number 1 on Billboard Japan Hot Albums, topping all three key metrics: CD sales, digital downloads, and song lookups.

제목 'BOOTLEG' 는 '해적판' 을 뜻한다.
요네즈가 소속을 유니버설 시그마에서 소니 뮤직 레코즈로 옮기면서 처음 발표된 오리지널 음반이다.
본작에는 'LOSER', '넘버나인', 'orion', '피스사인'의 싱글컷 된 악곡과 더불어 요네즈가 하치 명의로 발표한 '모래 행성', DAOKO×요네즈 켄시 명의로 발매한 '타상 불꽃' 의 2곡 셀프 커버 등 과거 앨범과 비교해 매우 많은 기발악곡이 수록돼 있다.
발매일 전날, 10월31일에 약 6.9만장을 판매해, 같은 날짜의 오리콘 앨범 데일리 랭킹 1위에 랭크되었다. 다음 주 랭킹에서도 아무로나미에의 올 타임 베스트 앨범 「Finally」에 이어 2위에 랭크 인 했다. 이후에도 5주 연속 주간 TOP10 에 진입하고 있다.
Billboard Japan Hot Albums에서는 랭킹을 구성하는 지표 (CD 세일즈·다운로드·룩업의 3 부문)의 전부에서 1위를 기록해, 첫 등장 1위를 획득했다.
