This is the first original album, "diorama," by Japanese musician Kenshi Yonezu, originally released on May 16, 2012, under the indie label BALLOOM.

This release marks Yonezu's debut under his own name, following his work as Hachi. The album is a masterpiece symbolizing 2012, featuring imaginative lyrics themed around a fictional town, blended with free-flowing sounds incorporating guitar rock, electro, and folk music.

The album title "diorama" is derived from the French word for a three-dimensional model. Yonezu personally handled all visual designs, including the album jacket artwork, image illustrations, and music video illustrations, all meticulously drawn with a single sharp pencil.

The jacket artwork features a catfish carrying a town on its back, a motif inspired by catfish paintings from the Edo period. Yonezu performed, mixed, and produced all instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard, for every track on this album.

The accompanying DVD includes the animated music video for "Koi to Byounetsu." Some tracks were also released digitally prior to the album's release, with "Go Go Yureisen" and "Vivi" becoming available on iTunes and DWANGO respectively.

"diorama" was made available on various subscription music streaming services starting August 5, 2020.

diorama 는 2012년 5월16일 발매된 일본 뮤지션 요네즈 겐시의 첫 번째 오리지널 앨범.
발매처는 인디 레이블 BALLOOM. 하치의 명의를 이용해 보컬로이드로 악곡 제작을 실시해 온 요네즈에게 있어서, 본인 명의로 데뷔작이다.
가상의 거리를 테마로 한 이매지네이션이 풍부한 가사의 세계, 기타 록, 일렉트로, 민족음악 등을 자유자재로 흡수한 사운드가 어우러진 2012년을 상징하는 대걸작이다.
앨범 제목 diorama 는 입체 모형을 나타내는 프랑스어를 뿌리로 하는 외래어다.
앨범의 자켓 워크, 이미지 일러스트, 뮤직비디오 일러스트레이션 등의 비주얼 디자인은 요네즈가 직접 담당하고 있으며, 모든 것이 일관되게 샤프펜슬로만 그려져 있다.
재킷 워크에는 등에 한 마을을 태운 메기가 그려져 있는데, 이는 에도시대의 메기화에서 답습되고 있다.
기타 베이스 드럼 키보드 같은 악기를 요네즈 혼자 연주해 믹스한 것이다.
수록곡 모두 본작의 하차이며 뮤직비디오도 '고고 유령선' '비비' '사랑과 병열' 은 모두 일러스트 영상으로 출시됐다.
고고 유령선은 2012년 3월21일 iTunes 에서 발매되었다.「vivi」는 DWANGO에서 2012년 4월 26일 한정으로 도착한 풀로서 전달되었다.
DVD가 포함되어 있으며 사랑과 병열 애니메이션 뮤직비디오가 수록되어 있다.
2020년 8월5일, 각 정액제 음악 전달 서비스를 통해 전송이 개시되었다.
