[BUNJANG] Kim Jae-il 'Farmer's Threshing Scene' Ink and Wash Painting / 수묵담채화 '농가 타작풍경'

A traditional ink and wash painting titled 'Farmer's Threshing Scene' by the esteemed artist Kim Jae-il (Yooam), created in 1992.

Kim Jae-il (estimated birth year 1949), a native of Jeonnam Oendo, was a recognized mid-career painter who continued the legacy of the Honam art scene. He participated in the National Art Exhibition and the '100 Korean Painters' exhibition, and was a recipient of the Ui-Jae Heo Baek-ryeon Art Award.

This contemporary Korean painting maintains the traditional brushwork of ink painting while boldly incorporating modern composition and color. Primarily focusing on landscapes and the vitality of nature, the work masterfully expresses Korean lyricism, evoking a sense of peace and tranquility through its precise brushstrokes and subtle ink gradations.

The inscription in the lower left corner reads '世事雲千變, 浮生一場' (Se-sa Un-cheon-byeon, Bu-saeng Mong-il-jang), which translates to 'Worldly affairs change like clouds a thousand times, and fleeting life is but a dream.'

Signed 'Yooam' (儒岩) and dated 'Imshin-ha' (壬申夏, 1992).

This significant large-scale artwork measures 140cm wide by 72cm high. It is currently preserved in excellent condition, having been backed (bae-jeop). Framing this piece would further enhance its value, making it a stunning addition to any living room or office.
