Written in the autumn of 1993, the piece showcases the artist's deep connection to traditional Korean scholarship, having begun his study of Hanmun (classical Chinese characters) and calligraphy from a young age.
Born in Buyeo, Chungnam in 1909, Kim Ki-seung later studied economics at China Eastern University in Shanghai. He actively participated in the independence movement, supporting prominent figures like Kim Gu and An Chang-ho. During this period, he also served as a scribe for important events and meetings.
This framed artwork measures 87cm in length and 52cm in width. Please appreciate its artistic and historical significance.
