십이지신상 으로 사찰 이나 궁궐의 기와 추녀장식의
잡상중 원숭이를 상징하는 손오공(손행자) 모습이 있기에
아마도 오래전 부터 토신을 형상화해 악귀.악운을
막고 지혜를 상징하는 동물의 조각으로 이용 되었던것
같습니다
순천 선암사의 부도탑에도 오래전 원숭이 돌조각이
있습니다
