This is a celadon censer from the Yaozhou Kiln lineage, dating to the late Ming Dynasty.

This piece harmoniously blends a stable tripod structure with a rounded body and a softly settled grayish-blue glaze. The ear-shaped handles on both sides and the representation of the three legs distinctly showcase the classical beauty characteristic of incense tools from that era.

This authentic artifact originates from kiln site excavations. It naturally retains signs of use on the interior, soil marks around the base, and subtle variations in the glaze. The wear and minor abrasions visible on the base and legs are also consistent with marks formed during excavation, integrating seamlessly with the overall aesthetic without any signs of artificial post-processing.

Notably, this item belongs to a lineage of objects excavated in China before the 1980s. Due to increasingly stringent regulations by the Chinese government on the management and export of cultural artifacts, tomb raiding, excavation, and international export are now severely restricted. The quantity of early exported items circulating in the market is diminishing, making it challenging to acquire early excavated celadon pieces.

명대 말기 시기의 용천요 계열 청자 향로입니다. 부드럽게 가라앉은 회청색 유약과 둥근 동체, 삼족 구조가 안정감 있게 어우러진 작품으로 양측의 귀형 손잡이와 짧은 삼족 표현에서 당시 향도구 특유의 고전미가 잘 드러납니다.

본 작품은 실제 요지 출토 계통의 진품으로, 내부 사용감과 굽 주변의 토질 흔적, 유약의 자연스러운 변화감이 매우 자연스럽게 남아 있습니다. 밑굽과 족부에 보이는 마모 및 상처 역시 출토 당시 형성된 흔적으로 보이며, 인위적인 후가공 느낌 없이 전체 분위기와 자연스럽게 이어집니다.

특히 1980년대 이전 중국 현지에서 출토된 계통의 물건으로, 현재는 중국 정부의 문화재 관리 및 반출 감시가 매우 엄격해져 도굴·출토·해외 반출 자체가 사실상 크게 제한된 상태입니다. 과거 시장에 유통되었던 초기 반출품들은 이제 수량 자체가 점점 줄어드는 분위기이며, 이러한 초기 출토 계열 청자는 실물 확보가 쉽지 않은 편입니다.
