[BUNJANG] Nishio Kosyu I-ra-bo Matcha Tea Bowl / 이라보 말차 찻잔

This 'I-ra-bo' tea bowl is a contemporary recreation of the traditional style, originally produced in the Gyeongsang Province of Korea during the Joseon Dynasty (16th-17th centuries) for export to Japan.

Its rough, unrefined clay texture and the naturally flowing yellowish-brown glaze perfectly embody the 'Wabi-sabi' aesthetic – a beauty found in simplicity and imperfection.

This authentic tea bowl is crafted by Nishio Kosyu (b. 1950), a master renowned for recreating traditional Gorai (Goryeo/Joseon) tea bowls, working in the Kyoto and Shigaraki regions of Japan.

The artist's unique circular seal, '香舟', is clearly stamped on the base.

The glaze's flow, the rough texture of the base, and the foot rim's groove ('Kairyaku') are intentional traditional techniques that contribute to the distinctive charm of I-ra-bo pottery.

In excellent condition, free from cracks or chips, making it suitable for both collection and use.

This is a rare ceramic piece, held in private collection for a long time.

이 다완은 조선 시대(16~17세기) 경상도 지역에서 일본의 주문을 받아 수출했던 전통 '이라보(伊羅保) 찻사발' 양식을 현대적으로 재현(우쓰시)한 작품입니다.

거칠고 소박한 흙의 질감과 자연스럽게 흘러내린 황갈색 유약의 조화가 '와비사비(소박하고 은은한 멋)' 정신을 잘 보여줍니다.

일본 교토와 신라쿠 지역을 무대로 하여 고라이(고려/조선) 전통 다완 재현의 명인으로 손꼽히는 니시오 코슈(西尾香舟, 1950년 출생~) 작가의 정품 다완입니다.

바닥면에 작가 고유의 '香舟' 원형 낙관이 선명하게 찍혀 있습니다.

유약의 흐름이나 바닥면의 거친 질감, 굽의 홈(카이랴쿠)은 이라보 도자기 고유의 멋을 내기 위해 의도된 전통 제작 기법입니다.

균열이나 깨짐 없이 소장용 및 실사용으로 모두 훌륭한 컨디션입니다.
