### Album Notes:

This is the debut album from Player, an edgy and melodic soft-rock group formed in Los Angeles, fronted by lead singer and guitarist Peter Beckett.

The album achieved commercial success, reaching Platinum status, driven by the first single "Baby Come Back," which hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The follow-up single, "This Time I'm in It for Love," also reached the Top 10.

Formed around David Pack (guitar, vocals) in 1971, Player was a talented group with a strong foundation, even attracting Alan Parsons to engineer and produce their debut and second albums.

"Baby Come Back" became their first Gold single, featuring poignant lyrics about longing and regret, captivating harmonies, and a sweet melody. The track is distinguished by Ron Moss's impressive bass intro and mournful guitar lines, making it a cherished FM radio hit and a nostalgic masterpiece. It was also notably featured as background music in Michael Bay's "Transformers."
