This is a rare Korean-Chinese mixed script letter, estimated to be from the late Joseon Dynasty to the early Modern period.

The letter was sent by Park Gyeong-seo (朴敬西) from Jinju to Kim Saeng-won (金生員) in Hadong-gun. Notably, it contains text introducing a valuable wild ginseng.

The outer envelope retains the phrase, "Such items are difficult to come by" (이런 물건은 어렵ᄉᆞ이다), offering an intriguing glimpse into the economic realities and the difficulty of obtaining rare goods like wild ginseng during that era.

특히 피봉에 “이런 물건은 어렵ᄉᆞ이다”라는 문구가 남아 있어, 당시 산삼이나 귀한 물건을 구하기 어려웠던 상황을 보여주는 흥미로운 생활경제 자료입니다.
