**Artist Biography:**
Born in Haenam, Jeollanam-do, in 1941, Seong In-ho, or 'Soheon', displayed exceptional artistic talent from a young age. He studied under esteemed masters including Nam-Nong Heo Geon, Heo-dang Kim Han-young, and Yu-san Min Gyeong-gap.
His professional career began with an award at the 26th National Art Exhibition in 1976 (at age 35), followed by winning the Grand Prize at the Baekje Art Exhibition in 1980. He has since held over 20 solo exhibitions and created more than 10 large-scale masterpieces, including 'From the Tip of Haenam to Seoraksan' (1m×50m) and Korea's first 'Maitreya Buddha Gwanseum' (5m×15m).
Famous for winning the National Art Exhibition seven times for his lotus paintings, he is known as the 'Master of Lotus Art'. He continues the Southern art tradition, depicting diverse subjects such as tigers, Daruma, landscapes, and human figures.
Currently, he manages a gallery and pension in Haenam and actively mentors eight students who have also received accolades at the National Art Exhibition, contributing significantly to nurturing the next generation of artists. He is truly a living master of Korean Eastern painting.

[작가소개]
1941 년 전남 해남 출생의 소헌 성인호 화백은 어려서부터 특출한 미술 실력으로 남농 허건, 헌당 김한영, 유산 민경갑 밑에서 수련했습니다.
30 대 중반 제 26 회 대한민국 미술대전 입상 (1976 년) 으로 본격적 작품 활동을 시작해 1980 년 백제 미술대전 종합대상을 수상했습니다.
지금까지 20 회 이상 개인전을 열며 '해남 땅끝에서 설악산까지' (1m×50m), 한국 최초 '미륵괴불작' (5m×15m) 등 초대형 대작 10 여 작품을 제작했습니다.
연꽃 그림으로 국전 7 번 입선해 '연 작품 대가'로 유명하며, 호랑이, 달마, 산, 사람 등 다양 소재로 남도 화풍을 계승합니다.
현재 해남에서 갤러리와 펜션 운영, 제자 8 명이 국전 입상하며 후진 양성에 힘쓰는 살아있는 동양화 거장입니다.
