1975년, 커버조차 없이 단 50장만 조용히 발매되고 사라진 음반이 있다. 기타, 베이스, 드럼, 키보드에 목관악기 주자, 그리고 트럼펫이라는 독특한 편성을 지닌 호주의 록그룹 스네익스 얼라이브(Snakes Alive)의 이 앨범은 그 극도로 적은 발매량으로 인해 거의 알려지지 않고 있다가, 90년대 초 부틀렉 시디로 발매되면서 비로소 세상에 알려지게 된다. 그 안에 담겨있는 음악들은 프로그레시브 록과 재즈 록의 절묘한 컴비네이션을 이루는 것이었고, 멤버들의 출중한 기량을 쉽게 알아챌 수 있는 높은 완성도를 지닌 것이었다.

이 음반은 현재 남은 숫자가 거의 파악이 되지 않을 정도로 악명높은 희귀음반이지만, 다행스럽게도 프로듀서 마이클 비달이 마스터테입을 완전한 상태로 보관하고 있었던 덕분에 훌륭한 음질로 재발매할 수 있었다. 이번 메리고라운드의 재발매 LP는 스네익스 얼라이브가 남긴 모든 레코딩을 두 장의 디스크에 완전히 담고 있다는 점에서 큰 의의를 가지고 있으며, 앨범 커버는 조악한 부틀렉 시디와 달리 멤버들로부터 승인 받은 새로운 일러스트레이션을 기반으로 제작하였다.
