This white porcelain water container (Jipho) offers a sense of profound peace and comfort, reminiscent of encountering a warm and approachable friend.

Considering the clay, manufacturing method, and signs of age, this piece evokes the atmosphere of the Song Dynasty (宋代). However, we introduce it as a later imitation (倣) in a casual manner.

Its exterior resembles a plump melon. The subtle marks of layered construction at the top and bottom, the finger marks left during the glazing process, and the minor kiln imperfections that naturally occur during shaping, drying, and firing all contribute to its endearing character.

Whether holding water, tea, or liquor, this 'approachable' pitcher, or Jipho, is versatile enough to complement any beverage.

Condition: Fully intact, apart from a minor chip at the tip of the spout (refer to photo). (Stand not included).

백자과형집호이다.
태토, 제작방식, 세월감 등을 종합적으로 고려하면
송대(宋代) 분위기가 물씬 풍기는 기물인데,
부담 없이 후대(後代) 방(倣)으로 소개한다.
살이 통통하게 오른 참외를 연상케 하는 외관에
상하 태첩 흔적과 (유액)시유 시 잡았던 손가락 자국,
무심하게 빚고 말리고 구워내며 생긴 미세한 가마 흠들까지
정겹게 느껴진다.
물이든 차든 술이든
무엇을 담아내어도 잘 어울릴, '수더분한'
한손잡이 주자, 집호이다.
크기는 높이 약 15.3, 입지름 4.8 cm이고
상태는 물대(출수구) 끝에 미세한 튐(사진참조) 외에
