Princess Lee Bangja, after the passing of Crown Prince Yeongchin, resided in Nakseonjae at Changdeokgung Palace. She dedicated herself to the rehabilitation and education of individuals with disabilities, establishing the 'Seoul Enamel Research Institute' and creating numerous enamel craft pieces. This hairpin is one of those esteemed works.

The enamel section displays a vibrant blue hue and prominently features the Chinese character for 'life' (壽). On the back, the characters 'Bang' and 'Ja' are clearly inscribed, authenticating it as a genuine piece. The accompanying silver hairpin, adorned with the iconic Taegeuk pattern, is equally magnificent.
