This is a contemporary piece that inherits traditional techniques, shaped into a faceted vase using white clay and fired with a copper red glaze.

Among the faceted vases popular since the 18th century, most are blue and white porcelain. However, some vessels from the 19th century, fired with an oxidized copper glaze over the entire body, have also been passed down.

Vessels with this red glaze are sometimes referred to as 'Jinsa (辰沙)'. If the entire piece is colored, it is more accurately described as 'Dongchae (銅彩)', and if it features painted designs, 'Donghwa (銅畵)' would be appropriate.

This vessel boasts a color palette that harmonizes well with modern aesthetics, making it suitable not only as a decorative accessory but also as a functional vase.

백토로 다각병을 성형한 후
산화동 유액을 시유하고 소성한,
전통 방식을 계승한 현대작이다.
18세기 이후 유행했던 다각병 중,
대다수는 청화백자가 차지하는데
19세기에는 동부 전체에 산화동 유약을 시유하여 제작한 기물도
더러 전해진다.
이런 붉은 색 유약이 시유된 기물을 '진사(辰沙)'라고 표현하는 경우가 있는데,
전체를 채색했다면 동채(銅彩), 그림을 그렸다면 동화(銅畵)로 표현하는 것이
옳을 것이다.
이 기물은 현대적 감각에 잘 어울리는 색감을 띠고 있어
장식용 소품으로는 물론,
화병으로 사용하여도 좋을 것 같다.
크기는 높이 약 18.2, 구연부 3.5 cm이고
