[BUNJANG] ZARD HOLD ME 1992 Album / ZARD 자드 3집 앨범 HOLD ME 음반

## ZARD (자드)

### Album: HOLD ME

Released: September 2, 1992

This album marks a period where ZARD's signature style was firmly established, partly due to the success of the pre-release single "Nemurenai Yoru wo Daite" (I'm Holding a Sleepless Night), which featured a song provided by Tetsuro Oda.

Beyond the previously released tracks, Sakai's lyrics resonated widely with the general audience, making this album a collection of "popular pop" songs that can be described as remarkably simple and refreshing.

Fueled by the success of the pre-release single "Nemurenai Yoru wo Daite," the album debuted at #2 on the Oricon charts, marking its first entry into the Top 10 albums and the Top 3 singles.

Following the major hits of the 6th single "Shinjima" (Don't Lose) approximately five months after this release, and the subsequent hit "My Friend" about ten months later, "HOLD ME" became a steady seller, achieving Million-seller status about a year after its release.
